Data Coverage
IMPORTANT NOTICE
While this may change in the future, The EYEVIONICS App, including Aeronautical Data ("Navdata"), Terrain Data & Imagery are not suitable for flight navigation, flight planning or flight training.
Aeronautical Database Coverage
EYEVIONICS database coverage spans latitudes from 75°N to 75°S. Coverage for areas in higher latitudes may be available. This applies to all databases, meaning imagery, 3D terrain and aeronautical data.
EYEVIONICS aeronautical data includes:
- Aerodromes
- Runways
- Radio Navigation Aids
- Visual Reporting Points
- Airspaces
- potentially others
Where applicable, VHF, VOR, TACAN and NDB frequencies are made available in the App user interface.
Microsoft Flight Simulator Navdata
EYEVIONICS combines multiple sources of aeronautical navigation data into a compound database. Where possible, EYEVIONICS amends this navdata with data loaded from Microsoft Flight Simulator during a simulated flight, to ensure that details such as the precise runway locations are as true to the simulation environment as possible.
Terrain Data & Imagery
EYEVIONICS Terrain & Imagery coverage spans latitudes from 75°N to 75°S.
Terrain data is the basis for both the visual representation of the earth’s surface elevation as well as for some satellite navigation based elevation calculations. It is not a primary navigation reference, but it merely enhances situational awareness. Terrain data resolution is ca. 30m horizontally (or 1 arc second).
Imagery & Terrain data are produced by EYEVIONICS. Their availability in the EYEVIONICS App depend on your subscription.
Globe Model
The globe model is compliant with WGS84.
